SSS' website is always down on their services menu, why is this?
I recently found out that the accountant in a company I worked for 20 years ago DID NOT remit my loan repayments on a salary loan that I took out in 1994(?).
I have no idea what I owe or if I owe anything at all as I no longer contribute to the SSS and my last contribution was, about that time, 1994.
I don't even remember my SSS number anymore.
I was informed that there is an amnesty program ending this April 30, 2009.
A few questions:
1. Where can I go to retrieve my SSS number? Any branch office? or do I have to go to East Avenue Main Branch? What do I bring?
2. What form will I have to fill up.
3. Please tell me that in my next visit to the SSS, I will be dealing with professionals and will not be besieged by wolves, crocodiles or other forms of bestial beings in government uniform.
4. How much time should I budget for my visit? Falling in line etc.

SSS System is not improving to make their services comfortable to the members. I'm very sorry to say these but this is what I've been discovered base not only on my experience but also as I heard and I read from other. Also their website sometimes has a problem. In that case, of course you need to go personally in their branches to inquire but still off-line. Additionally, you sometimes encounter a rough representative. How old is SSS? Are we happy to their services? We are happy to the benefits we might get, but their services has many things to improve. Yes, they make an open forum for the SSS but we hope they will listen and make an action and answer to our questions. How old is SSS? Does it improve for long time? The answer will not came from me, you answer it for yourself who read this.

I want to activate my SSS contribution, this time around as an independent payer. I don't know how to do it, really! Is there any forms for this one?
The forms available for download are not easy to use. There are 'bugs' such as the fillable forms have a mix of fonts and sizes such that the numbers appear in different sizes. And why don't you allow the fillable form to be downloaded and edited? It is so inconvenient to keep filling up the form, much easier to fill it up once and just edit as needed.
The downloadable forms are in acrobat file, can i request the forms to be in excel file format. It is easier to fill out an excel template.
If u r employed in the PHilippines u should go to the branch near where u live that is the policy now! but if u r an Oversease Worker (OFW)it is advisable for you to go directly to QC SSS office.
Your SSS is a lifetime number and eventhough you havent contributed but already a member or stop paying for sometime(they do not di-activate the number)

my brother applied e-1 ss number. unluckily he didnt continue working to his applied work. years after he made payments to his applied number as self-employed. he has contributed 126 payments. he died after due to an accident. his relatives claims for his burial benifit. sss said, they will just give his contributed amount because, he is not entitled into due to his number applied is e-1 and he paid as rs-1. question is, is this reason justified to a member who paid more than a decade?

this is about penalty condonation for the c0mpany w/ employees who has their outstanding loan. its so unfair since our company did not deduct their loans because we are not informed by the employees. how about the others, they are affected because they will not be granted of salary loan unless paid the loan of the others under our company..... so unfair
