I'm not sure if this is a yearly celebration or tradition but on September 1 which is the annual anniversary of SSS in the Philippines, this government institution gives a Php 500 bucks to SSS pensioner members.
My father is one of those who received this gift and even though this is literally a small gift, it was enough to put a smile on the faces of a community member who does not earn any money because they are all retirees from their previous employment.
This year I am not sure if the same will be given to pensioner members but if ever this becomes an annual basis, I think many old people pensioners will be glad about it.

My father died since August 3,1994. my mother and my minor sister are the beneficiaries. but my mother got married, and she lost her pension. instead, she became the guardian of my sister because she is still a minor. last September 10,2008, my mother passed away. she cannot withdraw the pension of my sister because she don't have a guardian anymore and we don't know where to find the Bank's pass book. that's why i replaced my mother to be my sister's guardian. Can the SSS pull back the money from the old account and deposit it to the new account i gave to SSS because we cannot find the passbook my mother was using before. what else can I do about it? and can you please stop sending the money to that old account because we already filed last September 2008 what happened to my mother and SSS still sending it to that account. hope someone can help me about this problem?
Yes you can claim and sss can transfer all your pension being deposited to the old account to the new account
I am a 67-year old pensioner. Why didn't I see the anniversary gift bonus in my ATM account?

my husband supposedy filed his pension on his disability due to the operation of his spine ast feb. 2008 but some reason he just filed it this month of dec. 2009. Can he receive all the pension he supposedly received since feb. 2008

I filed my retirement claim application last dec.21,2009.however according to my record(sss contribution)there is one co.included in my record w/c is unknown to me.They told me that this will be manually verified.NOW IS JAN 27,2010 AND UP TO NOW no result yet.When i followed it up,they said that they will inform me thru my cp,since then wala pa po me received info.Gaano po kaya katagal ang manual verification.email add:dnalcalde@yahoo.com.ph

Ask ko lang po.. Yung parents ko po kasi ay age 64-65 yrs old na nagtataka lng po ako bakit wla po sila nkukuhang pension? Sabi sa akin ng mother ko nag inquire daw sya at hinahanapan daw po sya ng previous employment certificate, paano po kung matagal na sarado ang company pa pinapasukan nya? At kahit po ba di nya nabuo ang 36 months contribution maari pa rin po ba sya maging sss pensioner? Sa case naman po ng father ko matagal n rin po sya di nagwowork at ang pagkakaalam ko may previous loan po sya at di nya nasettle, may chance din po ba sya makakuha ng benefits?
Sana po makatulungan at mabigyan nyo po ako ng advise. Malaking bagay din po kasi para sa mga parents ko yung makukuha nila kahit po para sa maintenance ng knilang gmot. thank you.

Na received po ng sss novaliches branch ang aking retirement claim application noong Nov 26,2009 at sabi sa akin makakatanggap ako ng notice mula sa sss after 45 days.One day last month nag follow up ako sa sss novaliches branch, ang sabi under process pa raw. Kahapon,Feb.24 pumunta ako sa sss main office, Quezon City, courtesy lane wala po silang paliwanag kung bakit almost tatlong 45 days na wala pa akong notice na natanggap from sss.can anaybody help? my add: djbtalinovaqc@yahoo.com

Can a 60 year old person who has not retired yet, request his company to stop his SSS contribution because he has reached his 60 years of age.

My father is a pensioner, he dont withdraw his money in the bank, he died last yr. My mother is the beneficiary, she went to my father'sbank to declare that he passed away and, she asked for the rquirements on how to get the balance which was credited during the time that he's still alive.. The give the requirements partially, everytime she visit the bank to followup she's asked to provide another requirements. Lastly, she was asked for extrajudicial of my brother's wife and kids. My brother is already dead, and his wife has his own family now 2 months after he died. Is this necessary?
One more thing, my brother's wife is the one receiving the pension of my brother, but she has her own family now. Shes not married yet, but she just gave birth with thatman. Is it possible to transfer the pension to my brother's kids. Just to make sure that they are the one who would benefit on that?
